It comes ready to hang, no assembly required. It is very easy to fill. You can see from a distance how full it is. The bigger food robbing birds can not get into the feeder. So far with some torrential rain and other days a couple inches of snow the food stays dry.

These bird feeders are built to last! It should survive well through the hot, humid summer and bitter cold winter.

So far, very happy with this feeder. No starlings have gotten through the bars and only the smaller birds are entering. Bought this mainly for our bluebirds so they could have a larger capacity mealworm holder. They were reluctant at first, but I taped two perches on it and they began to land on these then hop in. I would suggest some type of perches be added as the bluebirds were hanging on the edge and seemed to be struggling to get their balance to go in. Maybe removable perches until they get the hang of it. It is a bit heavy, but seems well constructed.

I love this feeder. I only had it up for about 15 minutes before I saw my first bluebird. It is great at keeping out the larger birds.

Have only had this feeder up about a week and I am doubly impressed. First impression of the feeder upon arrival was construction and materials are excellent. Filling the feeder with mealworms has been easy. The bluebirds and wrens adapted to the entry fairly quickly. AND!!! BEST of ALL- the blasted starlings tried multiple times over 2-3 days to gain access and could NOT!! Well done, Birdhaven!!!

I truly like the product but I will not use it until the spring of 2026. This is what I desperately need to keep the marlins out of the bluebird feeder. Send me a link to respond in the spring and I’ll give you a better response. Thanks

I have NEVER had so many finches visiting my feeder. They love them!

Great feeder for my bluebirds and tufted titmice. Bluebirds immediately went to the feeder. I’ve tried many different mealworm feeders, but most hold such small quantities and are emptied in a matter of hours. Love the capacity on this feeder!!!! Deters the larger birds well, but the starlings do get in. Overall, it is the best blue feeder I’ve found and the most effective at deterring starlings.

This feeder is doing exactly what I had hoped. We have a nice population of blue birds and other migratory smaller birds such as wrens. It keeps out the larger birds such as red winged, starlings and grackle. I have several squirrel “resistant” feeders, but this one actually is. Mealworms can be expensive, so that is a big plus. The feeder is well made, and is nice looking.

Well designed and built. Made from the composite materials so we are hopeful for long life and durability. Easy access to refill the chamber for the bird food - right on top. Hoping that the Bluebirds are as excited for this as we are!
