Its unique slotted entrance lets in sunlight, which sparrows hate, and prevents males from blocking the opening and trapping female bluebirds inside. The built-in nest tray also reduces space inside the cavity — making it less appealing to sparrows. Made from recycled plastic lumber and secured with stainless steel screws, this house will last for years without cracking or rotting. To mount your bluebird house, you have two easy options:

Option 1: Use a 7-foot long, 3/4-inch metal electrical conduit (available at most hardware stores). Simply push or drive it into the ground about 18–24 inches deep so it's stable, then attach the house near the top.

Option 2: Use a 36-inch ground stake and slide a 5-foot long 3/4-inch conduit over it. This makes setup easy and adds extra support.

Both methods give your bluebird house the right height and stability for a safe nesting space.
