At Bird Haven, quality is not just a badge on the page. It is the standard we try to hold every product to before it is packed and shipped.

Many of our feeders, bird houses, and birding accessories are made from durable recycled poly lumber and handcrafted with long-term outdoor use in mind. We choose materials that hold up to real backyard conditions, and we inspect products before shipping so they arrive ready to use and enjoy.

We want you to feel confident ordering from us. If something arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing a part, we will make it right.

When you order from Bird Haven, you can expect:

We care about the details because we know these products are not just decorations. They become part of your backyard, your birdwatching routine, and the little moments you look forward to each day.

If Something Arrives Damaged or Incorrect

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If your item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing parts, contact us right away at support@birdhaven.com with your order number and clear photos of the item, packaging, and shipping box.

Please keep the item and packaging until the issue is resolved. This helps us confirm what happened and, when needed, file a claim with the carrier.

Depending on the situation, we may send a replacement part, replace the item, repair the issue, or issue a refund.

Returns for Unused Items

Unused items may be returned within 30 days of delivery, as long as they are unused, uninstalled, in original condition, and include all parts, hardware, and packaging when possible.

If you are returning an item because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong item, or no longer need it, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If your order qualified for free shipping, Bird Haven still paid the carrier to ship it, and actual shipping costs may be deducted from the refund in some cases.

Large and heavy items, including shepherd’s hooks, feeder trees, large pole systems, and oversized stands, may be subject to customer-paid return shipping and a 15% restocking fee.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

Some products cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

This includes:

  • Bird seed, suet, mealworms, nectar mixes, and other bird or wildlife food
  • Custom, modified, personalized, or made-to-order items
  • Used, installed, weathered, dirty, damaged, or incomplete items
  • Clearance, final sale, scratch-and-dent, or discounted-as-is items
  • Gift cards

A Fair Promise, Not a Throwaway Policy

We stand behind the quality of the products we sell, but we also believe in being fair and clear.

Outdoor birding products can be large, heavy, seasonal, and costly to ship. Some are handcrafted or made specifically for your order. Because of that, our Quality Promise is not an unlimited trial period or a blanket money-back guarantee.

It means this:

If we made a mistake, if something arrives damaged, or if there is a true product issue, we will work to make it right.

If you simply change your mind, we will still accept eligible unused returns, but return shipping and applicable fees are the customer’s responsibility.
