House Sparrows can quickly take over traditional nest boxes, leaving bluebirds with nowhere safe to nest. This Slotted Cedar Bluebird House is designed to help prevent that.
Inspired by the trusted Troyer sparrow-resistant design, the slotted entrance allows more light into the cavity, which House Sparrows may find less appealing. The wide slot also helps prevent a male sparrow from blocking the entrance and trapping a female inside. No nest box can completely prevent House Sparrow activity, so regular monitoring is still important.
Crafted from Eastern red cedar with rust-resistant hardware, this house offers natural insulation and a classic backyard look.
Choose between two roof options:
Cedar Roof: Provides a traditional, all-cedar appearance that blends naturally into the landscape.
Poly Roof: Offers greater long-term durability and requires less maintenance. Since the roof is often the first part of a cedar birdhouse to weather and deteriorate, the poly roof is a smart choice for customers who want the house to last longer outdoors.

To mount your bluebird house, you have two easy options:
Option 1: Drive a 36-inch stake or piece of rebar into the ground and slide a 5-6-foot long 3/4-inch conduit over it. This makes setup easy and adds extra support.
Option 2: Use a 7-foot long, 3/4-inch metal electrical conduit (available at most hardware stores). Simply push or drive it into the ground about 18–24 inches deep so it's stable, then attach the house near the top.
Both methods give your bluebird house the right height and stability for a safe nesting space.

Unused items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, items must be unused, uninstalled, in original condition, and include all parts, hardware, and packaging when possible.
For returns due to changing your mind, ordering the wrong item, or no longer needing the item, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. If we provide a prepaid return label, the cost of that label will be deducted from your refund.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If an order received free shipping, Bird Haven still paid the carrier to ship it, and actual shipping costs may be deducted from the refund in some cases.
Custom, made-to-order, used, installed, or weathered items are not returnable unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
