Clever way to insert suet into the feeder. The birds have no problem gripping the cage to enjoy the suet. The only problem is this is blackbird season in this area and we're busy chasing them away so the woodpeckers can enjoy the suet. The colors are beautiful and the structure of the feeder is outstanding. Our old one made of plain wood was rotting away. I feel certain we'll have many years of enjoyment with this feeder.

I installed it on April 18, 2026, following the included instructions exactly, and the setup was straightforward and easy. The mounting system felt sturdy and well thought out, and the recycled poly lumber construction feels extremely durable and weather resistant.

Today, May 23, 2026, a pair of Eastern Bluebirds officially started building a nest in it. It’s rewarding to see bluebirds accept the box so quickly in its very first season.

My little birds love it! The big pigeons give it a good try! But the most fun is when our squirrel decides to eat from it…right on the railing of our deck.

I have tried many mealworm feeders to defeat the pesky and persistent starlings and this one is by far the best, and the quality is excellent.
I was so pleased that I bought two more.
If desirable birds scatter some worms close to the sides, starlings will reach through the bars and grab what they can reach but they cannot reach the main supply.
Perhaps it could be an extra inch wide on each side to mitigate that potential but my bluebirds and Wrens and chickadees took to them in a day.

I'm really loving this feeder! My only issue is the plastic tube moving when I try to open the top but I can work with that. The Bluebirds took right too it which was amazing and as far as I can tell, no Starlings have been able to infiltrate it.

I am soooo happy with my bluebird houses! Put one up and within 2 days have a bluebird building a nest and now laying eggs. So happy😊. Just finished putting up the second one and [Im not kidding] within 10 seconds, I had a bluebird checking it out. The houses are beautifully built and the customer service is excellent! 5 ⭐️’s . Very solid ! It does keep the squirrels out lol!! It took a bit for some of the blue birds to figure it out! Definitely saving in mealworms now that they’re not spilling out all over the ground!!
