Classic Gilbertson Bluebird Feeder

Recommending as I read good things, but as of yet no birds have gone inside. I sprinkled a few live meal worms on top each morning. Put some on the outer edge on "floor level". No birds entered in yet.
This morning I removed the cotter pin to take a bar out and set a dummy bird (decor accent from Hobby Lobby) just inside hoping it will help train the birds.

I love my classic Gilbertson bluebird feeder, and so do my bluebirds. The design on this feeder is really great because the robins like to eat the live mealworms that I feed the bluebirds and this keeps them away. Thank you so much for the great design. I’m very happy with my purchase.

This product is excellent. It is heavy, but well built. The mealworms stay dry even in heavy rain and wind. It attracted the Bluebirds right away and they knew what to do to get the mealworms. It also attracted the squirrels but only 1 of a dozen could get in and then it couldn’t get out easily (and has not come back). Only a few other species seem comfortable going inside like Tufted Titmice and Chickadee. I have it on a large shepherds crook right outside my window and the Bluebirds don’t mind it that close.

Well built, durable, bluebirds going in already. Nice to get a product that exceeds expectations!

This is a beautiful, unique bird feeder. Hoping to attract bluebirds, as witnessed a fledgling and male parent a few days ago. If you want something that doesn't look like every other bluebird feeder on the market, I highly recommend this item.

The only birds that use are starlings. It took them about 2 days to figure out how to get to the food. I’m very dissatisfied with the feeder.

The bluebird feeder is well built, packaged and shipped without any damage. It was easy to hang and fill with mealworms. However, even though we have bluebirds in our yard, I have not any come to the feeder. I did remove one side post and put some worms on top of the feeder so the birds would see them and hopefully go inside to eat.

This feeder seems to be what I've been looking for. We put it up just this week and already the titmice and wrens have figured it out. The bluebirds are slower historically to adapt to new feeders. We have a LOT of youngsters visiting this season, but so far they prefer clearcut feeder options. The one thing I really appreciate with this feeder is the one removable bar so the bird peeps can figure things out. Hugely important. Hence the 5 stars. Well done.

So well built and hopeful it will keep them going in the lean months when fresh food is scarce.

Alert,! MOCKINGBIRDS STILL GET IN AND WONT LET ANY BIRDS NEAR IT. Overall it's a pretty bird feeder.

I have one of these already. It is the only bluebird feeder that actually works. The bluebirds have no problem entering it. It works so well that I bought another one to accommodate the number of bluebirds that eat here. Ships fast. Quality and price are amazing. Great product!

Well made feeder. My usual bluebirds took 3-4 days to figure out how to get the mealworms, but they did. Although it keeps the starlings out, it also actually keeps the bluebirds away…they come by once every day or two, not the usual 3-4 times a day. I think it’s too much trouble for them. I solved one problem (starlings) but now have very few bluebirds.

It's a sturdy, well-built, handsome feeder. We bought it because a mockingbird had decided our old silo feeder was his/her private property and chased every bluebird away. This new feeder replaces our old silo feeder and has encouraged the mockingbird to move on. The bluebirds love the new feeder. Within a couple of hours, they had taken to it like ducks to water.

Great feeder. Its a joy to watch the bluebirds come. Its also a riot to watch the grackles try their best to get inside without any success. We love this feeder.

Loved my first one so much I bought a second! Now have one in the front yard and one in the back.

These are excellent feeders, designed to keep the big bullies out and just support the smaller songbirds.

I have had it up for a few days and the birds enjoy it, Without the grackles getting into the feeder, mealworms last longer.

This bluebird feeder is a gamechanger for my bird paradise. It keeps out the big bad black birds and lets my beautiful bluebirds eat in peace. Thank you for creating this great feeder. It's a terrific addition.

The bird feeder is well crafted, is heavyweight and the space between the bars is about 1- 1/4; only one is removable. I was afraid the bluebirds in my yard would not fit through so I have removed it until they find the mealworms; I even put some outside of the bowl. The first bluebird came in after 45 min. I purchase this item because a mockingbird showed up a few weeks ago and is bullying all other birds. I am including a video if possible.

This truly does repel those darn starlings. I am enjoying the comings and goings of the bluebirds and wrens.

I saw the bluebird feeder on Facebook and worried (1) that it would be flimsy foreign-made junk and (2) that it wouldn't work. Wrong on both counts! The feeder is sturdy and very well constructed from materials that won't rust or deteriorate outdoors. And it works! Within a couple of hours, the bluebirds discovered and accessed the feeder, and the starlings tried and couldn't. The bluebirds don't mind sharing a few mealworms with the wrens. What a terrific product! The sparrow-proof house is next on our list.
