The quality is outstanding. My husband was excited to get it. We do have a big problem with Grackles eating all the worms meant for the bluebirds and other birds that like them. He put it up today, we will see how it goes. Thank you.

Looks like a pretty strong, solid structure. I’m really impressed with the quality and handcraft. I think my neighborhood squirrels will be very well accommodated and I love it.

My bluebird bonded pair immediately started using the feeder. The female was incubating her first brood, and eventually introduced the fledglings to the feeder. Then, they had a second brood. Now I have an entire family of bluebirds visiting daily.
I had already been feeding live mealworms to the pair out of a glass ramekin. So, to transition them, I started to provide mealworms on the feeder, and then by placing live mealworms on the outside edges of the feeder so they would investigate the inside.
(I recommend leaving the removable bar out at first, until they get comfortable going inside.)
I know live mealworms are always moving around, but fortunately, the bluebirds immediately picked up on the mealworms that were placed on the inside edges of the feeder. None of them got away.
I did eventually and temporarily have a problem with a juvenile mockingbird getting in the feeder. I ended up having to wrap the feeder in kitchen twine, with 2 inch gaps. This stopped the mockingbird, and was a huge pain in the butt to maintain, but I would still recommend the feeder. The bluebirds love it.
This feeder is awesome! The woodpeckers just love it. Have both Downey woodpeckers and red belly woodpeckers eating off of the feeder. Seems very well constructed holds a lot of Suet. Have been very satisfied with my purchase.
This is a beautiful bird feeder. The quality of the craftsmanship is obvious as soon as you open the box. Also, their customer service is exceptional. We had an issue with our delivery (for my wife’s birthday), and Richard was very helpful in getting a new delivery sent so it was received quickly. I definitely recommend Bird Haven for both their quality products and wonderful customer service.

This is truly the most sturdy, wonderfully built, mealworm birdfeeder I’ve ever seen. I absolutely love it, and the birds are crazy for it and not only blue birds also chickadees and Carolina wrens have found it already and in just a couple of hours. So happy I purchased.
Definitely worth the purchase. I’m a week in with no bites yet, but the design makes replacing mealworms a breeze. Very well made and should last for years.
Very solid, well-made, beautiful feeder. I had to remove one of the bars initially to get the bluebirds in, but now they get it and I have replaced the bar.

This is a very high quality bird feeder. The materials were more than the cost of the feeder. The only short coming is a center mount that would allow it to be placed on a pole rather than hanging it.

For pole mounting, we do offer a post mount flange that works with our bluebird feeders. That may be a good option if you’d rather mount it on a pole instead of hanging it.
