Unused items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, items must be unused, uninstalled, in original condition, and include all parts, hardware, and packaging when possible.
For returns due to changing your mind, ordering the wrong item, or no longer needing the item, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. If we provide a prepaid return label, the cost of that label will be deducted from your refund.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If an order received free shipping, Bird Haven still paid the carrier to ship it, and actual shipping costs may be deducted from the refund in some cases.
Custom, made-to-order, used, installed, or weathered items are not returnable unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

This is a two-pronged review because the feeder that we received is sturdy and attractive, but the engineering involved in installing it is not easy and involved adding an extra wood piece behind the main part of the feeder. I'll include photos to help potential buyers see what the installation issues are. There are 3 installation issues: 1) there's a tray that the main part of the feeder sits in. The tray has a lip that runs all the way around. The lip sticks out far enough that it prevents the top part of the feeder from sitting in direct contact with whatever you want to attach it to, so my husband placed a block of wood behind the feeder (see Picture 1) and screwed it to the fence post; 2) See picture 2 - to reach the screw at the top of the feeder so the feeder could be screwed into the wood behind the feeder, you have to open the lid of the feeder which opens from the front edge. To screw that screw into the wood behind the feeder, you'd want to point the drill directly forward at the screw, but there's not enough room between the tilted lid and the back of the feeder where the screw is to fit the drill in. As a result my husband had to screw the screw in obliquely down and at an angle; and 3) rather than screwing the screw in at an angle, my husband initially tried to remove the lid (to get better access to the back screw), but the screws holding the lid onto the body of the feeder have abnormally small square heads, and his drill (which has many usual-sized bits) did not have a bit that would fit those screws.
We like the concept of the feeder but think Birdhaven needs to do some re-engineering to make installation easier, especially for people without tool skills.

I live in Indiana, and didn’t ask for expedited shipping, but it arrived the very next day! My fat squirrels broke their last one, but will have a difficult time even scratching this new feeder. The design is excellent, and the colors are rich and vibrant. It’s very secure at the top with a hook and eye closure. Nice large size to also accommodate several winter song birds at once. I can’t say enough about the fine workmanship. Excellent product and worth the money considering we will have many seasons of use from this feeder. If you want a nice feeder, splurge on this one. It’s a true 5 star product and I don’t even usually review my purchases. That says a lot.
