The Bluebird Feeder Perch Add-On creates a simple resting spot that can help birds feel more confident entering your feeder the first few times. It’s a small upgrade that can make a big difference — especially if your bluebirds need a little help getting started.
Made from eco-friendly recycled poly lumber, this perch won’t crack, rot, or fade. It installs easily using a few Phillips head screws and can be attached with a standard screwdriver or screw gun. Designed to fit our Gilbertson-style bluebird feeders.
Installation Note:
No holes are pre-drilled into the feeder. The included screws are designed to bite securely into the material, and pre-drilling can actually reduce holding strength. Leaving the feeder undrilled also allows you to choose exactly where you want the perch placed without adding unnecessary holes.
Perches are shipped separately and not pre-installed, even when ordered with a feeder.
Important: Adding a perch may reduce starling resistance in areas with heavy starling pressure, as it can provide extra grip. We recommend removing the perch once birds are actively and confidently using the feeder.

We want you to feel confident ordering from Bird Haven. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us right away and we’ll make it right.
Unused items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, items must be unused, uninstalled, in original condition, and include all parts, hardware, and packaging when possible.
For returns due to changing your mind, ordering the wrong item, or no longer needing the item, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. If we provide a prepaid return label, the cost of that label will be deducted from your refund.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If an order received free shipping, Bird Haven still paid the carrier to ship it, and actual shipping costs may be deducted from the refund in some cases.
Custom, made-to-order, used, installed, or weathered items are not returnable unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
