Dual Gilbertson Bluebird Feeder

Wow! Within 2 hours the bluebirds found it. Not captured in the picture was the female eating from the bowl.

This is a beautiful bird feeder. The quality of the craftsmanship is obvious as soon as you open the box. Also, their customer service is exceptional. We had an issue with our delivery (for my wife’s birthday), and Richard was very helpful in getting a new delivery sent so it was received quickly. I definitely recommend Bird Haven for both their quality products and wonderful customer service.

I wanted these to work so badly! I purchased 2, the double bowl feeder and the single bowl with glass refill tube. They are so well made, the quality is amazing, I cannot complain at all about the way these are made, they could not be any more sturdy. But....I don't know if I have crazy smart, insanely clever, overly tiny or just small starlings in my neighborhood or what.....they get their beaks into the bowl enough to flip the meal worms out to the ground where they promptly scarf them down. I think I am going to cage my feeders inside a completely enclosed area using maybe chicken wire to see if then, maybe, my poor bluebirds, finches and other tiny birds can get a chance to eat before the neighborhood thugs take it all!

I thought I ordered the Bluefeast Deluxe Bluebird Feeder but this one arrived. Instead of sending it back, I decided to try it.
But I don't like this feeder at all, for these reasons:
I have to fill it every day
The birds rarely eat off the top dish
It is not easy to remove the top dish without spilling a nearly full dish. However I loved everything else I bought from Bird haven.

Product came as advertised. Excellent quality and is very heavy duty. This was important to us as we live in upstate South Carolina, just off the Pisgah Mountains where we can get winds over 60 mph.
We're waiting for a heavy duty feeder pole to arrive before putting it out. Our current blue bird feeder has been abused by larger birds and high winds.

Great blue bird feeder, quality materials and craftsmanship. Great innovative design. This feeder is hands down the best!
Now, if I can get my blue birds to find it I will be happy 😁

This is a fantastic, well-made feeder and Birdhaven is an outstanding company. Although our bluebirds successfully use a different feeder sitting on a table, they would not enter this new model during a five-day trial. While the bluebirds hesitated, a starling quickly figured out how to enter with the white divider removed. Because it is nesting season, I chose to return the unit rather than force the bluebirds to go without food to learn a new system.

When I initiated the review, Birdhaven proactively offered a free additional part and an extended return period. Since the feeder was sitting on a table, the part wouldn't have helped, but I received a prompt refund and a seamless return. I highly recommend Birdhaven for their exceptional service and high-quality products!

Well Made, but heavy. Make sure you have a solid, well mounted stand or bracket. Bring it inside during high winds.

It's heavy, but the construction is amazing. Very high quality. My blues found it immediately. I had a previous cage feeder that the male blue bird had a problem getting into. Not so with this one. He was able to feast, but of course he let Mrs. Blue eat first. :)

Birds didn’t like it. Bulky, heavy and difficult to handle and fill.

Love this feeder! Bluebirds are all over it. The only thing I have trouble with is the pin that holds the bar from sliding out. Maybe an attached plug that pivoted would work better. Being an older senior hands aren't what they use to be.

It took a little while for my bluebirds to figure out how to use this feeder. If you spread some mealworms out on the platforms where they can see it, they will come. I am so happy with this birdfeeder! I have dealt with starlings and grackles eating all their mealworms in minutes! I was at my wits end, then I found this feeder and it has answered all my problems with those pesky birds, thank you Birdhaven for everything!

A beautiful feeder! I appreciate the workmanship, the attention to detail, and the longevity of the materials used. While I love cedar for outdoor feeders, nests, etc., I appreciate the long lifespan of this feeder without continued maintenance.

Great quality. However in pictures it looked like a stainless steel wire was included to attach feeder to Shepard’s hook. It wasn’t included. Otherwise its a great product

This double-decker bluebird feeder works extremely well for keeping starlings out and bluebirds and other small birds in. The feeder is extremely well made with good-quality ingredients. The feeding dishes may be a bit shallow, but because the starlings are locked out, I don't have to fill the bowls that often.

It is a solidly built bird feeder, it will last for years.
It is easy to refill and it keeps those bigger birds from getting to the mealworms.
It's fun to watch the bluebirds at this feeder.
